The Zagat Buzz blog is reporting that Farmstead Table is planning to open on Union Street, taking over the former India Paradise spot. According to Zagat, the husband-and-wife team behind the upcoming eatery are looking to feature a contemporary take on "countryside New England" fare, with such… dishes as roast chicken, braised short ribs, and lamb shank. The restaurant will have seating for 48, including 4 seats at the bar and 10 seats in the lounge, and an outdoor deck that will come later will have a capacity of 25. It appears that the interior of the dining spot will be rustic in nature, with antique furnishings and tables made from barn wood.
