About Himmel Haus

Himmel Haus is a German restaurant and bierhaus featuring a wide variety of German and Belgian biers and wines with a simple menu of Bavarian-inspired food. Our goal is to serve only the FINEST & FRESHEST ingredients we can find, including unique options such as locally- and regionally-s…ourced game meats. While we will offer some strictly traditional recipes throughout the year, our vision is to take the customary ideas and theories behind German cuisine and give them a contemporary, California twist. Himmel Haus is committed to applying sustainable business practices, and to becoming a go-to locals’ spot in South Lake Tahoe.We host great live music at least three times a week. If you happen to make a reservation on one of those nights, you may be seated at a table in the bar which offers the same menu as the dining room.

Himmel Haus features live music at least 3 nights a week, with a regular Open Mic night on Mondays starting at 9pm, and featuring local acoustic duos, jazz, funk, rock, and even the occasional DJ set on other nights. In addition, every Wednesday night is Trivia Night starting at 9pm.
